it Started With A Dream…
Ron and Beverly Barra's unrelenting love for making new friends, cars ... especially Corvettes, combined with their active lifestyle started them on the road to fulfill a dream.
A dream to start a Corvette Club tailored to Corvette enthusiast who would gather for dinner, weekend cruises, and just the comradery of fellow Corvette owners. From this humble dream the USA Corvette Club was born with a few of their friends meeting at the original clubhouse on Saturday night February 24, 2018. Little did they know at that time how their simple dream would evolve into what it is today!
Their foresight and unrelenting effort over 6 short years guided the USACC from a few friends to what it is today. Ron and Bev's notoriety among the car club communities resulted in Corvette enthusiasts from not only the local Dalton, GA area but also Northeast Georgia, Southeast Tennessee and as far away as Western South Carolina.
To accommodate this growth Ron and Bev doubled the size of the clubhouse and furnished it with a big screen TV, a full kitchen, and several sitting areas. The club hosts game nights, movie nights and has entertained The Jacksonville, FL Corvette Club and Vettes of the Smokies Corvette Club from Tri-Cities TN for a weekend of exploring our historic areas and ending with a sit down dinner at the clubhouse. These acts of kindness earned the USA Corvette Club the motto of "COME FOR THE CARS AND STAY FOR THE PEOPLE".
Activities evolved over the years to capture the interests of our members to include local parades, theatre shows, museum trips, and weekend trips. The USA Corvette Club is well known in the Georgia and Tennessee Corvette community and was invited to be the featured club at the 2022 Corvette EXPO in Pigeon Forge with class winners at the EXPO. The Club has participated for several years at the Chattanooga World of Wheels and all members placed in their category and have won best club display.
